Our friend's daughter got married last weekend and this song was their song - played at rehearsal dinner during their slide show and it was the song used for their first dance. The song is so refreshing, upbeat, fun. Makes me want to go out and buy the album (vinyl? CD? 8-track? LOL) Anyway, I'll be looking for more from Jason Mraz.

I can't believe this page is the first one to pull up when you search for the lyrics to this song yet it's clearly wrong- A the end of the second verse he doesn't say "Listen to the music of the moment... BABAY SING WITH ME" he says, "... PEOPLE DANCE AND SING." also, after that the proper lyrics should be "WE'RE JUST ONE BIG FAMILY" not "I LOVE PEACE AND MELODY." ..... just listen to the song carefully and you'll see that the lyrics written above are totally wrong there!

I love this song too, honest. It drives me crazy though that he sings "It's our God forsaken right to be loved". It's not our God forsaken right to be loved, it is our GOD GIVEN right to be loved. When God forsakes you, it means he casts you away. I know Jason probably didn't realize his mistake in writing, but hope you all do.

lol at first few comments, something to the effect that i love this song and btw if jason mraz happens to hear this please do a live concert in iran... <----lol!! the key word is LIVE and the other key word is Iran lol. Yes what that really means is , i hope you come to iran so you can trip on an IED that i planted especially for you. On a more serious note, ya song has a great melody and good lyrics. and it's not wrong to want a live concert, but sometimes like a memory,the song is better in the single anyway.
